‘THE PLAYS THE THING’

Welcome to The Globe Players

Our shows give thousands of young people their first introduction to theatre.

Performed by exceptional, professional actors, and written specifically with our young audiences in mind our shows engage, enthral and entertain students in hundreds of schools each year.

‘Shakespeare’s plays need to be seen and heard. The Globe Players are getting on with doing just that: taking Shakespeare’s words into schools, so that the fun, terror, evil, goodness, envy, sorrow and more can all come alive…lucky young people.’
Michael Rosen – Author, Poet and Patron of The Globe Players

Bringing Theatre to Life

“A quick message to say how wonderful the performances were today – 160 pupils from a tricky inner city school were thoroughly enchanted for the day. It was magic.”

Secondary Schools

All of our fantastic Text Study productions for secondary schools feature key moments from the texts engagingly dramatised, covering the whole story, along with commentary, discussion of social background and analysis of character.

All our actors play multiple roles, keeping the action exciting and dynamic. Using our tested dramatic devices we ensure that the story is clearly delivered and that themes and context are thoroughly explored as the ultimate, entertaining aid to learning and exam preparation.

In the build up to Christmas our fabulous Fairy Stories are available to the whole Primary School age range. The perfect seasonal celebration for your school.

All of today’s actors engaged with, talked to and inspired our girls with a fresh ‘take’ on Shakespeare. We loved it.
